Educational Seminars
NYSE Euronext conducts educational programs throughout the year for college-level classes. Student groups and classes come for “floor tours” to see the financial markets in action and learn more about their fundamentals. In 2012, we conducted 170 educational seminars and tours for more than 4,000 university-level students.
For those who can’t make the trip, in 2012 we hosted a “virtual field trip” in which over 50,000 students participated “live” via the internet and had a chance to “tour” our floor and participate in a question-and-answer session with our CEO, Duncan Niederauer.

Teachers Workshop Program
NYSE Euronext offers professional development training to educators who teach students about the financial markets. The Teachers Workshop provides a thorough understanding of the capital raising process and the NYSE’s trading platforms, and increases teachers’ ability to include the financial markets across curriculum disciplines.
Two advanced programs are also offered in New York and by the SEC Office of Investor Education and Advocacy in Washington, DC.
